After a traumatic brain injury (TBI), victims are left in varying states of debilitation. California has 11 Caregiver Resource Centers that provide core services to TBI survivors and their families. From counseling and care planning to legal/financial consulting and respite at low or no cost.

The San Diego Brain Injury Foundation is an online resource for TBI survivors and their families in San Diego County. It provides information on brain injury support groups, lists helpful websites and books, and has informational videos.

Coastline College has a two-year ABI Program that provides structured cognitive retraining for adults who have suffered a TBI.
Disability Rights California advocates for the rights of TBI victims who are disabled. They help ensure they are afforded the same opportunities as people without disabilities by providing education, investigating instances of discrimination, offer advice, advocacy services, and legal representation.
The Brain Injury Association of California connects brain injury victims with information, resources close to their homes, education, advocacy, and community support.
The Brain Injury Center offers care transition services from hospital to home, bi-monthly support groups, individual support and care coordination, training and skill development, social opportunities, a resource library, and has a 6-bed adult residential facility for brain injury survivors.
